Hie Supreme Court ot Alberta touay quashed the Aherhart Social Credit Government's Interest Reduction Act. whereby the province refused 10 l ,a .v more than half the interest on outstanding bonds. The Court rules that interest reduction i s the sole authority of the Dominion Government. I lie action was brought by the Independent Order of Foresters which holds 300.000 dollars’ worth ot provincial debentures.
