FISHING AT TAUPO
RECORD TROUT OF SEASON. Electric Telegraph—Press Association TAUPO. February 13. Fishing at Delateur’s pool, Waitahanui. yesterday, Mr D. M. Hanna landed the record fish on the fly for this season in Taupo when he took a perfect specimen weighing 11 Jib. On a second visit to tin- same pool he landed one of 9lb. The larger fish put up a great fight and took more than an hour to land as the angler had only an 811 rod and very light tackle
Mr A. A. MacDonald, India, at Hie mouth of the Waitahanui Stream, took five good sporting fish, including file e --'ll. Fishing at Whakaipo Dr. I X \Y. Murray, Auckland w’tli Dr. H. M. Goldstein, took 20 good fish, using mostly the yellow matuk.i fly.
