BURNT BY CAUSTIC SODA
WHICH FELL OX WOMAN'S HEAD. An unforseen accident with rather serious consequences befell Mrs lan McKenzie, of Hamua. recently. A tin of caustic soda fell from a shelf and some of the scattering contents fell on her head. With her hands, which happened to be wet at the time, she brushed it, but the damp caused the caustic to become active and it burnt deeply into her scalp. Mrs McKenzie is now an inmate of the Tararua Private Hospital where she is receiving treatment.
