CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITIONS. Results of games played to date in the Pahiatua Lawn Tennis Club’s championship and handicap competitions are the following: Men’s championship singles.—First round: G-. M. Swainson defeated L. D. Lovelock, 6—3, 6—l. Second round: J. G. Swainson defeated R. Iv. Bam ford, 6—l, 6—2. Men’s intermediate championship. —Second round: J. D. Thomson defeated M. Connell, 11—9.
'Senior ladies’ championship singles.—Second round': Mrs T. Harvey defeated Mrs R. K. Bamford, 6—o, 6—2.
Men's handicap singles.—Second round: P. M. Lusk (22) defeated H. A. Gardner (16), 60—57.
