BIG HYDRO SCHEME
PROPOSED IN N.S.W. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Cony right. SYDNEY, June 23The Prime Minister, Mr Stevens, has tabled the report in the legislative assembly of the London experts on power development- thioughout New South Wales. The experts recommend the electrification of the main railways from Sydney to Newcastle, Goulbourn. Lithgow and Nowra all within 140 miles of the city, the outlay which would be £1.0,000,000 spread, over 10 years. They also recommend hydro-elec-tric systems throughout the country for the generation of power for railways and the development of rural and urban areas, the cost of which is estimated at £13.000,000
