BIG RECRUITING CAMPAIGN APPEAL FOR 31,(XX) MEN. United Press Assn.—By Electric Tel eg ra ph —Cop \righ t. LONDON, June 23. The British Air Minister, Sir Kingsley Wood, launched the biggest R. A.F. campaign in history. He appealed for 31,000 men, equal to the entire Air Force prior to its expansion. It needs 2000 pilots, 550 observers and 26,000 skilled and unskilled men. The pilots are offered a four years 7 commission. The majority of the_ observers are being recruited direct from civil life.
