The match between Australia and Lancashire Gilded in a tiVmo draw. The weather was fine for the resumption of play and Fingleton and Brown batted with no more ambition than a robot. After lunch however, the pair livened up and added 32 from four overs. Brown scored more in the half-hour after lunch than in the two hours before. The .rowd warmly applauded Bradman who was scoring all round the wicket, at timGs showing great daring He reached a century in only 73 minutes; the fastest 1(X) in England in the present season. His chanceiess innings included fifteen, fours. Lancashire re-opened with seventy minutes left. Chipperfield dismissed Washbrook and Payntei in the same over but the game ended in a tame draw.
