Owing to the Foresters’ Hall being engaged next Saturday tile Labour Party Euchre- has been postponed until tile following Saturday night •July 2nd, ~ '
The weekly meeting of the Pahiatua .Literary and Debating Soviets" will be held this evening. Yielding to a popular request the “Question. Box’’ will again be fcatuied. The subjects chosen, are very varied, cover a wide range, and are. both grave and gay Questions will be balloted Par. The first, quesiion will he replied to at 8 p.m. A cordial invitation. is extended to all who are interested.
The Dutch fair to be held on Tuesday, June 28, promises to be something out of the ordinary. The Presbyterian Ladies’ Guild have been busy for weeks past making arrangements and some new features will be introduced, especially at the evening session when Miss jean Scott's pupils will give an exhibition of National dancing. The fixture takes place in the Foresters’ Hall where at 12 noon there will he a special luncheon provided. Proceeds are in aid of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church.
