RABBITSKIN SALE
GOOD RANGE OF PRICES. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd. report: At the second rabbit-skin sale of the season, held at Wellington on Thursday, a representative selection was offered to the usual attendance of buyers. The offering contained a fair proportion of winter grades, which realised excellent prices. First bucks sold up to 88d, first does to 55d, first incoming to 62d. Autumn grades also sold well, late autumns making to old, first early to 36d. Summers and lower sorts were in demaiicT and can be quoted at 2d to 6d per lb up on last sale's rates. From the results, it is evident that trappers are assured of a profitable season, ana we would recommend that consignments be forwarded regularly for realisation. The following is the range of prices; Small, to 6d per lb ; runners, lOd; cacks, 10£d to 20£d; milky, 8d to 12d; summer does, B£d to 9£d; summer bucks, 9£d to 10£d; autumn does, 19d ; autumn bucks, 22d; (lawny autumns, 19£d; early autumns, 20d to 28d; late autumns, 34d to old ; broken, 7£d to 25£d; F.S. and 8.5., 9d to 31d • hares, 13d to Ibid; spring does, 14d; spring bucks, lßil to 22d • black. Bid to 2Sd ; incoming, 441 dto 62d; early winter does, 40£d to 48£d; early winter bucks, 54d to 74d ; outgoing does, 2od; outgoing bucks, 33d to 35d ; spotted does, 34d; spotted bucks, 50£d to 55d; winter does, 45d to 46d ; winter bucks. 70d; first doDs, 55d ; first bucks, 88d; summer weevily, 5d to 7d ; winter weevily, lid to 13d.
