TRANS-TASMAN AIR MAIL
TO START NEXT DECEMBER. (Received 11.10 a.in.! United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copy right. SYDNEY. This Day. The Morning Herald's Canberra correspondent says that arrangements are now complete for the inauguration of a full airmail service between Britain and Australia early in August and for the commencement of the trans-Tasman service probably just before Christmas or early in the New Year. With the commencement of the Australia-Britain service the air mail rate from Australia to Britain will be reduced from Is 6d to 5d per half ounce.
