WRESTLING

FRALEY V. HJLL AT DAKWEVlrtKE. NEXT SATURDAY. One of the most recent additions to tlie Dominion Wrestling Union’s forces and a man who has worked himself into the most prominent position among the men who hare been here lor the greater part of the season, will meet m tlie professional wrestling match which is to be staged in Danneviike next Saturday night. These are Vie Hill, of Tacoma, Washington, who has just arrived alter spending a highly successful six months in Australia, and Cowboy Pat Fraley, whose New Zealand record this season can only be compared with the kind of record built up by Karl McCready in the past. Local enthusiasts have followed Fraley’s performances with great mand have been suitably impressed by his two wins against “Lofty 7 ’ Blomfield in as many matches. In Hill they will quickly recognise a wrestler who deserves to be matched only with the best. Hill has been trained as a wrestler from an early age, his father, “Red” Hill, being a famous wre-.tier who met Dr. Roller and tougli opposition of that kind. He started out as a professional nine years ago when he was only 18 years old so that, although he is still only a young man, he has had plenty of experience. Most of his wrestling has been done along the Pacific Coast, but he has also made trips into Canada and Mexico. He has had a world title bout with Dean Detton, and has beaten the following prominent wrestlers: Stanley Pinto, “Strangler” Lewis, Dr. Freddie Meyer, Joe Savoldi, Vic Christy and Paul Boesch. One of his specialties is a hold which r ever fails to bring results once it has been applied. Hill is just over <rix feet in height and weighs 15 stone, so that lie will be an excellent match physically for the stalwart Fraley. Early reservations are strongly recommended, as tlie plans are filling rapidly. 'Phone 2539.
