THE MAN IN POSSESSION
Robert Taylor and Jean Harlow are co-starred in “The Man in Possession, ’ Metro-Goldwvn-Alayer's dol.ghtful comedy-romance ' which sei com: finally at the King's Theatre tonight at 7.45 p.m. J n the cast are Dogma Id Owen Una o_Conuor. Henrietta Crosman, E E v Jive, ( ora Witherspoon, Marla Shelton and Forrester Harvey, each of " ""in I'.m.vs an outstanding role with rare skill. Taylor portrays the part o* a young black sheep who, „„ being cast out from his self-righteous faniii a as a deputy in a sheriff s office. There he is detailed to stand guard in the homes of the people whose debts have gotten beyond them He must see to it that nothing is removed. The twist of the plot lies in the fact that his first assignment is in the home of an American widow, played by Miss Harlow. His older brother, portrayed by Owen, under ihe impression that Miss Harlow is wealthy, is seeking her, hand in marriage. At a social function, Taylor appears as her butler and creates a sensation. Only the brother is aware of his identity. The situation ends happily when Taylor and Miss Harlow fall desperately in love, with money no object. A special feature (n the supporting programme is “Every Sunday,” a delightful musical short featuring Deanna Durbin.
