LORRY DRIVER FINED
DRINK IN CHARGE OF PETROL WAGGON. Electric Telegram,- -Press Association HASTINGS, Last Night. “He was a menace to the public and he should not have been in charge of a petrol lorry,” said Mr. J. K. Miller, S.M., in the Hastings Court after hearing a case in which Thomas Henry Abrams, lorry driver of Wellington, was charged with being intoxicated when i n charge of a petrol lorry on the Napier-Palmers-ton North main road on March 22. Abrams. who pleaded not guilty, was convicted and fined £2O and costs, and his driver’s license was cancelled for one year.
