Experiences with second-hand or super bags for sheep rugs has been disappointing in Australia, as they u Kly wear out, and only a smail percentage last for the whole season. Some benefit is gained by clipping the rug in a biuestone solution of about normal pickling strength—namely, one per cent.. whilst in other cases the bag is treated with a thin solution of Stockholm tar. However, generally speaking, these treatments do not make an appreciable difference in the life of the rug, although they naturally have some effect, and if second-hand bags are used, the rug cannot be expected ’"(> last for more than one season.
