PAHIATUA COMMITTEE HOLD AIOMHIA .MEETING. The monthly meeting ol tne Paiir latua Disti ict High school committee was field last night in the Painatua Trust and Agency Office there being present the ckuuwaii «Ali U. Clarke) also attended and reported as under: The present school roll is oOl—-52 in the primary and 49 ui the secondary department. 1 received a supply ol stationery and attendance slips from the printers and the Fox typewriter that was ordered some months ago from Wellington. AD' D. R. Waiter, junior secondary assistant, arrived on March i to fill the vacant position on the staff. Two members oi the committee, Al< >srs ELett and E Stevens paid a visit to the school this afternoon. The chairman thought tliat xvhile they were getting extra money from the school they should get a man to do a day’s work every week in order to keep the grounds in good condition. Air Stevens thought the matter should be a recommendation tc* the incoming committee and the chairman endorsed tins view . The visiting committee for the nsumg month will be Messrs T. Burr and G L. Chatwin. Accounts amounting to £22 19s 9d were passed for payment.
