TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS DEMANDED. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LOS ANGELES, August 28. G-men are investigating a letter composed of words clipped from magazines threatening, to kidnap Wallace Beery’s six-year-old adopted daughter. Caroline, if 10,000 dollars are not paid before Thursday. The child is heavily guarded at Beery’s home, and Beery is hurrying home from Utah, where he has been on location.
