UNCOMMON OCCURENCE.
There wa- an uncommon incident during the hear.ng of a compensation case in the Arbitration Court at .New Plymouth recentlv, when two barristers were grouped on the bench with the three members of the court. The matter under consideration at the moment was the understanding of the plan , f n building'in which an accident took place and the presiding judge. Mr Justice Smith. invited counsel on to the bench to assist in explaining the position to the court. V ith the three members of the court seated on the bench, and counsel leaning over, one on either side of the judge, the grouping was perfectly balanced for what would have made a, unique photograph.
