A representative meeting of directors el Southland dairy companies passed the following resolution, which has been sent to the Minister: “\Ye demand a guaranteed price of not less than Is 6d a pound of butterlat., this Icing t!i<. absolute minimum necessary to meet increased costs with which the industry ibeing loaded, and to enable the dairy-farmer to maintain a reasonable standard of living and pay competitive wages with other industries.
