FANCY DRESS DANCE.
RONGOMAI FUNCTION. A \ery pleasant evening was held in the Rongomai School on Friday night last when the W.D.F.U. organised a fancy dress dance for the children of the district. The children occupied the floor till 10 o clock with dances, games and items, etc. Items were rendered by G_ and T. Evans (phno duet) and songs by Bob Davie, Molly* McGlashan, Tom Hodgins, Madeline Jameson, Beth Davie and Nancy McGlashan. Some ol the costumes worn were: Dorothy Davie (Dutch Girl), Bob TTavie (Dutch Boy), Beth Davie (Gipsy), Madeline Jameson (Military Girl), Tom Hodgins (Clown), Janet Berry (Tennis Player), Hazel Eagle (Bridesmaid), Nancy e Eagle (Red Butterfly), Max Cooper (Mickey Mouse), Annette Cooper (Indian Maid), Margaret Bruntoii (Ladybird), Dudley Payne (.Jockey), Gwvncthc Evans (Hawaiian), Thyra Evans (nclo Sam), Eila Evans (Aliss America), Ruth Evans (Golliwog). Aml rev Evans (Star Fairy), Molly McGlashan (Pieress), Joyce McGlashan (Pixie), Waite? Evans (Order of the Bath), 51 iss Hanson (Gipsy), Miss L. Cooper (i*each Girl), Mrs Davie (Jap.), Mrs Payne (Gipsy), Mrs L. Eagle (Good Luck), Miss Thompson (Spanish Lady), Mr J. Davie (A Broken Down Gent.). 51 r L. Eagle (An English Gentleman). Brizes t<>i* tin* best costumes were won by Bob and Dorothy Davie, 51 ax Cooper, Ruth Evans, Dudlev Pavne, Thyra. Evans (2). Tom Hodgins. Miss L. (Toper and Mr L. Eagle. Alter a. daintv supper, which was served, bv the indies, Mr L. Eagle, as 51.( ~ kept dancing going with ;t swing to music supplied by 51 rx Payne, Mr J. Burton and slr L. Bra mi iga n. During the evening 51 rs Lowes, president oi the Division, made a presentation to 51 rs () H. Cooper, who loaves for England on Thursday, and wished her a very pleasant vovnge and a safe return.
