LAND FOR HOUSING
DARGAVILLE AND DUNEDIN. Cabinet lias approved the acquisition of land at Dargaville for use of the first instalment of dwellings there under the Government’s housing scheme. The Parliamentary Under-Secretary in charge of Housing, Mr J. A. Lee, said last evening that this land would be sufficient for 14 houses. A further small area of land had also been acquired at Wakari, near Dunedin, in conjunction with other Dunedin sites already obtained for State housing purposes.
