MANGAMUTU INSTITUTE.
HOLD GENTLEMEN’S EVENING. The gentlemen’s evening held by the Mangamutu Women’s Institute in the local hall oil Saturday 21st proved a very popular function. Dancing an as the order of the evening, spirited music being played by Mrs A. Tait-. Miss White. Mrs Moncrieff and Mr G. Wade* playing extras. Paper huts (made by Mrs Y. Burr) and streamers were a feature of tlie evening.
Monte Carlo dance was won by Mrs A. Bissot and Miss M. McDonald, while the Lucky Gay Gordons was won by Miss Austin and Mr White. There were two games for the children. Musical sticks being won by Urns MeClenaghan and William Groves, musical arms being won by Marie Moncrieff and Jimmy McDonald. A delicious home made supper was served by the ladies. Mrs T. Kerri son and Mrs L Heayns were M’s.C. and Women’s Institute members took it in turn to keep the door. A very pleasant evening was brought to a close at midnight
