The half-time score was 12—6 in favour of the reps, who, as a, result of the victory, enjoyed supper at the expense of the boys. An old-fashioned Methodist tea meeting in connection with the fiftyfirst anniversary of tile Methodist Church will be held to-morrow night (Thursday) in the School Hall—tea on the tables at G p.m. A concert and social will follow at 7.4.5 p.iil. It is just twelve months since the Methodist Church celebrated its Jubilee and this event will mark the first anniversary of the new School Hall. At last.night’s meeting of the box--ing executive, the president of the association (Mr A. P. Jensen) commented on the excellent support being given to the association by the (public. Within two days three fine trophies had been presented by Mr Geoff Watcborn, Palmerston North, Mr McKellar, of the Rutland Hotel, and Mr E. O’Neill, of the Commercial Hotel. In the same time cash donations had been received from Messrs A. Madsen, A. S. Clulow and C. Walker.
