STRONG YORKSHIRE DEMAND United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, September 28. At the wool sales 12,1:12 bales l were offered. 10,742 being sold at auction and 1541 privately. There was strong competition from Yorkshire, and also an improved Continental demand. Best descriptions were from par to five per cent. above last week. Greasy merino made to 2()Jd. The average price for wool last week was Ulfi 9s lid a bale or 12.fid a pound.
