FEMALE IMPERSONATOR.
CHARGED WITH CAR THEFT. Electric Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, September 28. A sequel to the arrest of a young man wearing female attire was heard in the Magistrate's Court to-day, when Phillip Waiter Darcy Stewart, aged 19. a clerk, was charged with the theft of a car valued at £230, the property of Jack Herbert Luxford, at Wanganui. on September 21. He was remanded to appear at Auckland on Wednesday. Mr F. K. Hunt S.M., refused accused’s application for suppression of his name. The magistrate asked: Is tlu s not the lioy who dressed himself a s a woman ? “This is the handsome vouiig iadv vve arrested,” repik'd Detective McHugh.
