LABOUR DAILY.
EULOGISES N.Z. GOVERNMENT. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. DOMX>N. Sc-]>teniher 25. The Daily Herald, the Labour paper, in a leading article on economic recovery in New Zealand, says that Mr Savage and his are going from strength to strength. “The work of this young Labour Government,” it. says, “is beginning To capture world attention. It is well <on the way towards repeating the economic triumph achieved by the masterly Socialists of Sweden. The programme is not dissimiliar to M Plum's, but Mr Savage’s difficulties are infinitely less* than M. Blum’s. Friends of both Governments have no doubt, that the main explanation is that the free devalued New Zealand pound gives Mr Savage opportunities and advantages which the fixed and over-valued franc is deliving to INI. Blum.”
