Johnny Woods, ended in the sixth round when Woods was unable to continue, after a severe back-slam. Woods had .secured a fall in the fourth round. At the Leicliardt Stadium Billy Meeske was diqualificd in the fifth round m a bout with the Russian, Nick Dneprc/vskv. Each had secured a fall. Joe eato s defeated the Now Zealander. Bob King, the former securing the only fall, in the second round of a four round contest.
