S»r William Firth at the annual meeting of Richard Thomas and Company announced the intention of the company to erect at Kbbvale, 'in South Wales, a mill for the manufacture of wide strip steel by a patent process to he exploited under an agreement with an American rolling mill company. The combined cost of the modern stool works in which the proposed strip plant would be incorporated would be L 4,500,000.
