PONGAROA WEDDING.

I) E A N—MY RTIN. A wedding of considerable interest to Afasterton and Pongaroa residents took place at the residence of the bride's mother at Pongaroa on I hursday, the contracting parties being AfTss Myrtle Elizabeth Martin, eldest daughter of Airs and the late C. R. Martin, of Pongaroa, and Air Bert George Dean, eldest son of Air and Airs G. H. Dean, of Alasterton. The bride, who was given away by her brother Percy, of Wanganui, was charmingly attired in an anklelength frock of ivory silk brocade, wearing a silver girdle, and a threepointed lace yoke, lined with palest [link georgette. She wore lior grandmother’s veil and orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of winter roses, carnations, ireesias and maidenhair fern. The bride was attended by her sister Thelma, who was dressed in a lovely ankle length frock of shell [link brocade, trimmed with tiny rucking, hat and shoes to tone. She carried a posy of Iceland poppies, carnations, froesias and maidenhair fern. The duties of best man were carried. out by Mr Leu Do Lacey, of Grey town. After the ceremony was concluded, the happy couple left by car for tb ' north, where the honeymoon wll be spent.
