JOURNALISTS ARREST FOLLOWS

(Received 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, July 16. Eye-witnesses nearby saw in a second a man arrested and a revolver fall on the roadway. His Majesty’s escort then closed in to protect him immediately after tlie incident. The crowd wildly cheered when the King later left the Palace to go to York House. A Scotland Yard official statement says that during the return journey a mail pushed to the front of the crowd. Exactly what followed has not yet been ascertained. The revolver, which was loaded in four of the five chambers, fell to the roadway between the King and the troops following him. A further Scotland Yard statement says that the man is being charged this afternoon at Bow Street under the Firearms Act. Another eyewitness states that the man raised the revolver and a policeman immediately knocked it from his hand.
