A FINE GIFT.
NEW PLYMOUTH BENEFITS AGAIN. Electric I elegraph—Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. A gift to the borough of New Plymouth by Mr and Mrs C. H. Burgess of their beautiful summer residence, “Hapurunui,” at “The Meeting of the Waters” was announced to-day. The Borough Council accepted the gift as a magnificent addition to the town’s scenic reserves and as another evidence of the generosity of Mr and Mrs Burgess to the town. “Hapurunui” consists of a fine home set in twelve acres of garden, park and bushland. The only condition attached to the gift is that the council maintain the property for the benefit of the people.
