LAST NIGHT’S MEETING. The A.D., Brother Fisher, presided over a record attendance of the above lodge held in the Alayfair Hall last evening. Accounts totalling £25 10 s were passed for payment and apologies were received from two past officers. Three members reported on the sick list and three new members were proposed. Among the visiting lodges were members from Lind, Ruahine, Oroua, Alanawatu and Myrtle. Also in attendance were District President Bro. J. Summersly and Past Grand Presidents Bros. F. Jackson (Oroua) and J, Barley (Canterbury). A loyal Druids welcome was accorded them The ritual contest was then proceeded with, an on the toss of the coin Lind Lodge won, Pahiatua being asked to begjn •- After a keen eon test between the two ledges the judges awarded first place to Lind and warmly congratulated Pahiatua oil the rapid progress they had made in their ritual work. To the two new members who were initiated the contest will leave a very great impression. Reports were given on, the recent visits to Ruahine and Myrtle Lodges and members concerned spoke of the good time given them. Past Arch Bro. G. H. Brown coach for the Pahiatua Lodge, spoke in glowing terms of the contest, savirg that although Lind Lodge had won on pointts, Pahiatua, had won in experience. D'ancing was ‘.hen riie order of the evening and undey the capable guidance of Bro. M. Power M.C., a splendid evening was spent. Shortly after 12 o’clock the function closed v. ith the singing of An Id Lang Syne*.
