FLOODS FEARED IN WAIRARAPA.
A Li, RIVERS RUNNING HIGH. Electric Telegraph— Press Association MASTER TON, Last Night. Heavy and continuous rain since the early hours cf this morning is causing some apprehension of floods. At 8 o’clock to-niglit tin' v.atcr was just beginning to flow over the main highway near the Waio-liine bridge en the Me.stei ton-Wellington road, while two rather large slips were reported on the Fe-a.fhorston side of the Binmtaka road which is passable for one-way traffic. There is also a washout to the edge of the bitumen for a distance of about 12 feet in the same- vicinity.
The Wbareanin rivet at Tinui is reoertcu to he running very high and other str< ams on the east coast are in heavv flood.
