A esterday afternoon members of the Pahiatua ladies’ croquet club were the guests of the AVoodvilie club. Four members went through early and played games in the morning. afterwards being entertained to lunch. Tn the afternoon a further quartette arrived from Pahiatua and nil players participated in some enjoyable croquet. The visit will he returned by the A\ oodville players later in the season.

The Pahiatua Swimming Club’s junior carnival, which was to have been held yesterday afternoon, has been postponed on account of the rough weather. The club will hold a big open night carnival on Wednesday. February 26, and two Manawatu championship events will be included on the programme. The Mangamutu Hall dance committee has very generously agreed to let the swimming club's social committee participate in their Leap Year dance at Mangamutu the same evening, which will wind up the carnival.
