Brian, aged 20, fourth son of Mr Do Valera, was galloping with ids cousin in Phoenix Park when his head. struck a branch of a tree, unseating him. Th© horse dragged him some distance before lie was released. He was taken to hospital where he died in the presence of his father. The King and Mr Malcolm MacDonald sent messages of sympathv to Do Valera.
