PAHIATUA SHOW.
Remarkably fine* entries have been received for the* Pahiatua Show, to be hela on Friday next, and the gathering promises to l* one' of the most successful in the history of the Association. The entries for the jumping events, hack classes, sheep and cattle sections arc well in excess of last year, the jumping competitions being the* best for years.
Interest and enthusiasm in the annual fixture were newer keener, while the steady and persistent increase in the membership is the very best evidence* of the Association’s progres-sivenc-ss and popularity. The following new member* have been elected: Messrs ( . Berry (Alakuri). Yal Baker (Pahiatua). J. Anderson (Ngnturi). W. Colville (Alanganmtu), J. Atoore (Ngaturi), H. ('. George (Alfnedton), and Hugh Alorrison (Pori). An anonymous donation of 10s came te> hand yesterday through Air G. A. Allan. The president- (Mr F. F. Ward) and Mr Harry Cotter are attending tlie Dannevirke Show to-day. where they hope te> secure some late* entries for tin- local show.
