ROSE REACHES THE CAPE

Tommy Rose arrived at Capetown at 6 p.m. London time, beating Amv Mollison’s record by 13 hours, 13 minutes. Rose’s arrival at Salisbury allayed anxiety, as he was many hours overdue there. He had earlier missed Salisbury, owing to a rainstorm and was forced tv> land 70 miles away.
