Interest in the Badger Tennis Cup competition continues with great keenness, there being still five challenges to decide Mangamaire, Mangamutu, Kumcroa, Kaitawa and H ukanui. The Pahiatua Cricket Club lias accepted a match to be played agaiust a Featherston team at Feat her ston next week-end, and in View of this a practice has been called for tomorrow (Tuesday”) at 6 p.m. Results of competition games played on the Pahiatua bowling green lip to this week are set out as follow:—Junior singles: Grantham 19 defeated Tattle 18 ; Chinerv 24 defeated C. Wright 13; Taylor 19 defeated Braggins 15. Senior pairs: Fox and Pi !k in ton 29 defeated Gregory and Kershaw 6. Senior-junior pairs: Braggins and Badger 2o defeated Hankers and Hagan 21; Fouhy and Mills 30 defeated I. Boyens and V. Boyens 10'; O'Sullivan and South 25 defeated Goer and Coldicutt 21. A member of the Tui Brewery staff was proceeding leisurely along to work the other day, apparently without a care in the world, when suddenly his presence on the roadside in the vicinity of the school offended the susceptibilities of a fractious cow' which was one of a mob being driven along the road, and he was charged from behind.
