AKITIO STOCK SALE.
INAUGURAL EWE FAIR. Messrs Williams and Kettle, Ltd., repoi't having held their first annual sale at the Ora Station yards. A full yarding of breeding ewes came forward in splendid condition and met with good competition from a good attendance of buyers. A total clearance was effected and the prices obtained compared favourably with the rates ruling in the main centres. The support given this sale fully warrants making it ail annual fixture. Their offering of 3000 - ep realised the following prices: Account Bi'ian Armstrong. Ora Station : 522 two-tooth ewes. 35s 2d. Account Messrs Humphries and Smith, Marainanga Station: 250 two-tooth ewes, 34s sd; 392 twotooth ewes, 34 s. Account L. G. Crosse. Junr., Haunui; 206 two-tooth ewes. 33s 3d; 32 six-t<soth and four-tooth ewes, 28s 6d. Account R. Nicol, Braeside Station : 300 six-year ewes, 21s: 322 seven-year ewes, 18s 6d; 55 twotooth ewes, 28s Id. Account R. O. Christophers. Te Mangahuir. : 419 six-vear ewes. 20s 4d. Account B. G. Boss: 131 four and five-year ewes, 255. Account W. T. Luxton: 134 sixtooth and four-year ewes. 27s 3d.
