SHEEP IN DEMAND. WIMBLEDON SALE. Williams and Nettle, Ltd. report having held their annual Wimbledon stock sale at the Woodbank Station yards on Saturday last, when they offered a full yarding of .sheep, principally breeding ewes, to a big attendance of buyers representing. Manawatu, and all East Coast districts. The sheep came forward in splendid, condition and were very keenly competed for; most lots realised prices well above vendors' expectations. A total clearance was effected at the following prices: Account Woodbank Station: 452 five-year ewes, 25s lOd; HO fourtooth ewes, 31s 4d; 301 two-tooth ewes, 325, 5d 64i six-tooth and fouryeair ewes, 29s 3d ; 40 ewe lambs, 18s ; 74 wether lambs, 14s ; 54 fiveyear ewes, 25 s 3d ; 32 ewes, 20s Gd. Account Farnham Station: 437 five-year ewes, 26s lOd; 73 five-year ewes, 225, 76 six-tooth and rouryear ewes, 31s 7d; 83 maiden fourtootli ewes, 34s 6d ; 135 ewe lambs, 19s 6d; 113 wether lambs, 15s; 37 six-year ewes, 21s. Account Pipibank Station: 369 five-year ewes, 24s 3d; 142 two-tooth ewes, 31s; 24 five-yea/r ewes, 19s 4d ; m.a. Romney rams, £2 2s to £3 3s. Account R. J. Guerin : 122 four and five-year ewes, 23s 3d ; 109 ewe lambs, 19s 9d; 95 wether lambs, 15s lOd ; 32 m.a. ewes, 28s ; 24 two-tooth ewes, 275. Account Airs H. Pope: 89 two.tooth ewes, 325.
