DANCE AT BALLANCE.
A very successful dance and social evening was held in the Ballaneo Hall last n,ight< under the auspices of the Pahiatua Lodge, U.A.O.D at which there were present many members of the Druid order and dancing enthusiasts from Ball a nee. Music was supplied by Mr J. Corn ford. During the supper interval P.D.P. Bro. G. Godfrey Taylor, thanked the Ballance residents for helping to make the function so enjoyable and successful’, and took the opportunity of pointing out that young men embarking on the adventure * of life should link up with a FHendly Society. The speaker explained" that, quite apart freon, their value ag, an assurance against sickness and accident, lodges provided a splendid form, of social entertainment and were a wonderful’ incentive in bringing out qualities necessary for young, men taking their place in society.
