FEILDING STOCK SALE.

EWE MUTTON RECEDES. An over-supply of ewes in the fat sliecp pens at the Feilding stock sale yesterday was lesponsihlc lor a fall in prices and operations were based on current schedule rates. Toe best ol the fat lambs maintained late rates with good competition whi'e wether mutton showed no great variation on current quotations. Ihe fat cattic- market was easier, whilst the quality of the offering comprised dairy lines A particularly large offering ot store sheep came forward and the total entry included several pens ot breeding ewes of inferioi.to medium quality. Lambs sold particularly well with the market very active. The breeding ewes found buyers in keeping with the quality hut on the fflgh side.

The yarding of store c-attle did not sell as freely as the entry suggested but the sales made under the" hammer were at values on a par with late quotations. Hit* offering of dairy stock comprised a- limited assortment -yf springing heifers which sold up co £4.
