BODY IN DRAIN.
DEATH OF JOURNALIST. Electric Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON. January 30. The discovery of the body of Charles William Rainier at the bottom of an open drain about 100 yards south of the Belmont railway station was made by a railway porter at 9.50 a.m. yesterday. There was about three inches of water in the drain. Mr Balmer was a married man. aged 33. and was employed as a journalist by the New Zealand Dairy Produce “Exporter” Company. Ltd. He live in Stilling Street. Liower Hurt. Aii inquest will be held.
