“WAVE OF PROSPERITY."
DOMINION'S POSITION AS VISITORS SEE IT.
United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, January 28. Prominent business men, Messrs S. Gestetner, G. Springliall and E. A. Calianan, who arrived at Sydney by the Monowai, individually expressed the opinion that New Zealand was surging forward on a wave of prosperity. Air Gestetner referred particularly to the development of the smaller towns which, he said, were far ahead of any towns of similar size lie had visited during a world tour. Air Springliall said that the new •Government’s programme seemed sane and moderate. Air Callanan said he had been greatly impressed by the policy to which the new Government subscribed. The heads of the Government promised sane and moderate administration. Ho believed they were solid and conscientious, and had the ability to maintain, if not increase, the prosperity New Zealand had already regained.
