THE KIDDIES’ DAY.
FRIENDLY SOCIETIES’ PICNIC. SILVER JUBILEE WELL CELEBRATED. Despite the postponement of the United Friendly Societies picnic (from Anniversary Day) there was a great gathering at Carnival Paik yesterday when children from all parts of the district assembled to participate in the picnic society s twenty-filth jubilee festivities. Ihe imoceedings began before lunch an from then onwards the youngsteis were engaged in races, jumping ana lollie and peanut scrambles, whicn were staged with precision by a tireless band of officials who worked assiduously throughout the day to give the children a happy outing.
