MASTERTON SHOW.
18th AND 19th FEBRUARY. The 49th annual show will be held on above dates and the ram and ewe fair will follow, on the two following days. There are about 50 cups open for competition and are valued at £750. There are classes for all kinds of stock, home industries, poultry, pigeons, dogs, dog trials and all ring events. Hill country farmers should note a now class to suit them comprising a pen of three long-wool led ewes under 21 months. A cup has heen donated to this class. Those dog ianciers who hav'e not received a schedule of the kennel classes should do so. Ladies are also catered for. The lady guessing nearest the correct weight of the fat bullock will receive a threepiece tea set. This may now be seen in the window of Mr J. Bradbury, Master toil. The W.F.C.A. Ltd. has donated y>ur choice of a dinner, tea or three-piece set for most points in sewing, to be won outright. There is also a points prize of a silver cup for most points in cookery cl asses. A new class has been added for maiden wire jump to be held on the first day. All exhibitors should note that entries close on 3rd February.
