The. Railway Department announces tin running of ao excursion to Napier and back on Sunday, 2nd February, 1936. The excursion is timed to arrive at Xapier at 12.22 p.m. and leaves Xapier on return at 0.30 p.m. The fares are a<t a verv cheap rate. Details are advertised in this issue.

Gratifying entries are coming to hand lor practically cverv section of the Pahiatua Show, and" the indications would seem to suggest that the 26th Annual gathering will be well up to former years, as interest and enthusiasm never keener, and the membership is making a steady and persistent increase. The committee of the Pahiatua A. «md P. Association will meet on J uesday next, when final arrangemints will be made for the Show. The sub-committee appointed to make arrangements for lhc dance on Show- Night will also discuss matters in connection with that function. Blocks for the chopping events will also be considered and stewards and officials appointed for the various sections.
