(EXTRAORDINARY) LONDON OFFICIAL The King died at 11 minutes past midnight. Born on June 3rd, 1865, our late King George became heir to the throne in 1892 on the death of liis brother, the Duke of C hire nee, on January 14, and ,on the accession of his father, King Edward VII., he* was created Prince of Wales. King Edwarc! s death took place on May 6, 1910, and the then Prince of Wales was crowned in Westminster Abbey on June 22, 1911.
