CONSULTING ENGINEER S REPORT.

The Consulting, Engineers’ report to the Pahiatua County Council on Saturday read as under: No. 15 highway, reconstruction and sealing; Good progress has been made with the southern section, about four miles, Eketaliuna boundary—Konini bridge. The priming coat ol tar preparation was completed during December and is now setting up with traffic preparatory to receiving the bitumen sealing coat. On the northern section, four miles ending at the Ngawapwrua bridge, the formation work is completed and metalling about to Ire done. The pit has been prepared and the plant erected. No 84 Station Road highway: Good progress has been made. The reconstruction work has been completed and the tar priming coat applied. No. 442 Highwav, Mangaone Stream bridge: 'Excellent progress has been made. There has been completed to date the whole of the southern span, and the main arch span, with the exception of the top part of the guard railing. Boxing for the superstructure of the northern Span is erected and the steel is being placed preparatory to pouring the concrete. Formation work of the approaches is in hand. No. dl Pahiatua—Pongaroa highway', Hotel bridge: A commencement has been made. The concrete piles have been cast, a- tern pora.rv bridge erected and the diversion cut for the creek attended to.
