POSTAL VOTING. Electors are reminded of the provisions of the Electoral Act, 1927. with reference to postal voting. Any registered elector who (a) Will on polling clay he absent from New Zealand ; (b) Will not throughout the hours of polling on polling-day be within five miles by the nearest practicable route of any pollingplace- ; (c) Will throughout the hours of polling on polliug-day be travelling under conditions which will preclude him from attending at any polling-place to vote; (d) Is ill or infirm, and by reason of such illness or infirmity will be precluded from attending at any polling-place to vote, or in the case of n, woman will by approaching or recent maternity be precluded from attending at an;» T polling-place to vote ; (e) Is a lighthouse-keeper or member of a 1 ighthouse-keeper's staff, or is the wife of a iighthousekoeper or the wife of a member of a lighthouse-kteper’s staff and will be precluded from attending a.t any polling-place to

Any elector who desires to record his or her veto in accordance with these provisions should apply personally or in writing to the Returning Officer at Pahiatua. for the necessary papers, and such application, should be made in ample time to ensure that the vote is recorded and returned to him before 7 p.m. on polling-day, i.e., Wednesday, the 27th November.
