Sir Alfred Ransom. member for the district and Minister of Lands, is visiting Pahiatua in furtherance of his campaign and Is staying at the Commercial Hotel. He is accompanied by his Private Secretary, Mr A. W. Mulligan. Yesterday a “Herald" representative sought further news of Pahiatua’s new Post Office from Sir Alfred and this morning was advised that Sir Alfred had received advice that the plans for the now Post Office and . Postmaster’s residence at Pahiatua were now <icxnvplete and that in all probability tenders for the erection of the building will be called this week ; which is a distinctly encouraging report.
